GreenWorks Idaho would first like to send out a huge thank you to all of our Sponsors, Exhibitors, Speakers, Volunteers and Attendees for helping to make the first Idaho Green Expo such a tremendous success!
Our 2nd annual Expo should be even better. It will also be a free, two day event that will showcase the latest environmentally friendly products and services, and continue to provide information that will help people to lead healthier and more sustainable lives. We are also anticipating that the 2009 Expo will have fewer Seminars but will have more hands on Workshops and Demonstrations.
Currently, we are in a transition period between the 2008 and 2009 Expos. If you want to visit our 2008 Expo website, please Click Here.
Soon, we will be accepting applications from Exhibitors for the 2009 Expo, and will be updating our 2009 website in the very near future, so please keep checking back.
But the Expo’s goal will remain the same: To have a celebration, but one with a serious purpose: to continually foster the emergence of a new green economy - an economy that is sustainable, healthy, ethical and earth friendly.
The Expo will continue to unite green businesses, social and environmental groups, visionary thinkers, and thousands of community members in a lively exchange of ideas, commerce, and community building.
And if you want to be involved in these pursuits more often than one weekend a year (a great idea!) please visit the GreenWorks Idaho website (www.GreenWorksIdaho.org), become a member (it’s free!) and that way we can keep you up to date with all that we have going on throughout the year.
Thank you very much for being a part of the solution.
Greg Otero
Executive Director
Idaho Green Expo
P.S. If you have any suggestions for our next Expo, or have some photos that we can publish on our website, please email us at info@IdahoGreenExpo.org. Thanks!
The Expo will allow visitors to:
- See dozens of green products and services that are currently available to meet their needs. Attendees will learn about organizations helping to affect positive and sustainable change in our region, our country, and around the planet.
- Attend educational workshops and how-to sessions. Networking opportunities will abound for people looking to work together for change at the local, national, and global level. Meet interesting people who share common values.
- Listen to speakers addressing a wide array of green topics, from the benefits of composting, to how to help your community improve their public transit system, to conserving energy in your home and workplace.
- Spend some time at the Capital City Public Market, meet a few of our local farmers and discover the flavors of locally grown food, while listening to the sounds of local musicians.
- Take in a green film or stop by the Kid’s Zone where the whole family can have some fun learning all about “green”.
