The Idaho Green Expo invites organizations that support our objectives to join us in helping to produce this unique and important community-oriented event. The Expo has been designated as a 501(c)3 non-profit organization by the IRS.
Event Sponsorship is a mutually beneficial partnership. Sponsorship provides “green” businesses, organizations, products and services with enhanced visibility among those who attend the Expo as well as to a much larger audience leading up to the event. At the same time, Sponsors provide the cash and in-kind support necessary for us to reach an increasingly broad audience and offer a quality event.
Can Anyone Be A Sponsor?
Although we will certainly entertain a sponsorship offer from anyone, our preference will be to obtain Sponsors that include companies whose products and operations have (or will soon have) significantly reduced environmental impacts, and move in the direction of long-term sustainability. Companies with a specific product line or service with significantly reduced environmental impacts are also of interest, as long as the Sponsorship features that specific product or service. Government or nonprofit organizations whose objectives are consistent with the Idaho Green Expo are also encouraged to be Sponsors. Sponsors that demonstrate a commitment to the Idaho Green Expo's goals will be the most desirable.
Sponsorship Levels and Benefits
Sponsors of The Idaho Green Expo benefit in many ways, including the acknowledgement of their commitment to a better environment and the association with a widely publicized, positive, community-oriented event. Sponsors receive benefits based on the amount and type of contribution in the following categories:
PRESENTING SPONSOR:
$25,000
- Listed as the Presenting Sponsor of the Idaho Green Expo. (GreenWorks Idaho and The City of Boise's 2nd Annual Idaho Green Expo - Presented by “Your Company’s Name") This would appear on the:
- Program Guide
- Main Signs at event
- Posters
- All print, radio and television Advertising ( Media Partners and Schedules TBD)
- Web site with a link to your company's web site.
- Your company's name and/or logo will be included on all TV and Radio Advertising.
- Your company's logo will appear on an opening slide on all PowerPoint presentations in seminars.
- Full-page ad in the event program guide.
- Two free exhibit spaces in a prominent location
- Included as the Presenting sponsor in event press kit.
- Logo and company profile in Sponsor section of program guide.
- Free Membership in GreenWorks Idaho
FOUNDATION SPONSOR:
$15,000 or more (5 Foundation Sponsorships are available!)
- Listed as a Foundation Sponsor (in contribution date order) in the program guide.
- Your company's name and/or logo will be included on all Television and Radio Advertising ( Media Partners and Schedules TBD)
- Your company logo will be included in all print advertising
- Main Signs at the event that will include your company logo
- Logo on Posters
- Logo and company name on Expo web site with a link to your company's web site.
- Your company's logo will appear on an opening slide on all PowerPoint presentations in seminars.

$7,500 (9 Track Sponsorships are available including Eco-Kids!)
- Listed as a Track Sponsor in the program guide.
- Your company's name will be mentioned on 1/3 of the sponsored Radio and TV spots for the Expo.
- Your company's name to be included in all mentions of company's specific Track. (EX: The Boise Co-op presents The Food and Agriculture Track)
- Dedicated Sign for your Track at the event that will include your company logo
- Logo on Posters
- Your company logo will be included in all print advertising
- Logo and company name on Expo web site with a link to your company's website

$5,000
- Listed as a Platinum Sponsor in the program guide.

- A free exhibit space in a prominent location, if desired

$3,500
- Listed as a Gold Sponsor (in contribution date order) in the program guide.

$2,500 with Booth ~ $2,000 without Booth
- Listed as a Silver Sponsor in the program guide.

- Eighth-page ad in event program guide.
- A free exhibit space, if desired, with $2,500 buy-in

MEDIA PARTNER:
$10,000 or more in donated media services
Media partners provide in-kind assistance to help the Idaho Green Expo reach its target audience: people who value a healthy, sustainable environment and who are interested and motivated to take action for their families, communities, and the environment. Media partners receive the following benefits:
- Listed prominently (in contribution amount order) as a Media Partner with a full page ad in Program Guide, event signage, poster, web site, and large-format advertising.
- Half-page ad in event program guide.
- A free exhibit space in a prominent location, if desired
- Free Membership in GreenWorks Idaho
Media outlets contributing less than $10,000 will be listed as a Platinum, Gold, Silver or Bronze Sponsor and will receive the Sponsorship benefits consistent with the value of the donated media services.
ADDITIONAL SPONSORSHIP OPPORTUNITIES (COMING SOON!)
- Additional Sponsorship opportunities will be announced within the next few months as different components of the Expo come on line. The amount of these Sponsorships is to be determined.
Sponsor Benefit Details
Per benefit level, Sponsor names will be featured in some or all of the following Idaho Green Expo produced materials, web site and press kits. The prominence of the listing will increase as Sponsorship levels increase. Below are brief descriptions of some of the planned promotional materials:
- Posters. Thousands of full-color print pieces will be distributed to targeted individuals through the network of event Sponsors and also placed in public places such as libraries, recreation centers, cafes, exhibiting retail stores and other appropriate locations.
- Event program guide. The event program is distributed to all attendees and contains information about the event, exhibitor locations, Speaker schedules and their contact information. The program is designed to be used as a year-round resource and will be printed on recycled materials.
- Web site. Sponsors will be listed on www.IdahoGreenExpo.org with a link to the Sponsors' web sites.
- Event Signage. Many large, colorful banners will be on display at the Expo site, and depending on the Sponsorship level, different company names will appear on various banners.
- Advertising. Most Sponsorship levels will be included in the display ads placed by the Idaho Green Expo. These ads will be placed in local print media and will reach thousands of Idahoans. Some Sponsorship levels include TV and/or Radio spots.
Booth space: Booth spaces are 10' x 10' and are assigned by topic areas.
Local Media Coverage: The Idaho Green Expo should continue to receive impressive coverage by local media. Our goal is to receive millions of media impressions through television, radio, newspaper and online coverage. Highlights may include many promotional spots on local television and radio, mentions on evening news telecasts and possibly other shows, and the Expo also hopes to be featured several times in local newspapers. In pitching story ideas for the media, the Idaho Green Expo will highlight Presenting, Foundation, Track, Platinum and Gold Sponsors by including descriptions and messages in the event press kit.
In-kind and small cash contributions: The Idaho Green Expo will consider in-kind contributions that will benefit the event. In-kind contributions can include staff time for pre-event planning such as event logistics and topic expertise, donation of equipment or supplies for the event, promotional assistance time and expenses, day of the even volunteers, and other mutually agreed on in-kind or material contributions.
General guidelines: All Sponsors agree to help promote the event to their constituents, members, and customers through newsletters, mailings, e-mail communications, events, flyer distributions, and other avenues. The Expo Coordinating Committee is inviting Sponsors at this time.
Sponsorship Proposal And Agreement: Organizations interested in Sponsoring the Idaho Green Expo should contact Greg Otero (see below). After March 30, 2009, the Idaho Green Expo cannot guarantee all of the Sponsorship benefits described above (such as posters, print advertising, etc.) However, we will make every attempt to include Sponsors in all publications and provide other benefits based on when the Sponsorship Agreement was received. The deadline for ensuring on-site and program guide benefits is April 30, 2009.
